Green
is the color
of ordinary time,
the color of pastures
and trees
and long lush lawns,
the color of comfort
and peace
fullness.
Red marks the
extraordinary
the shock of the passage
of time; the monumental
disruptions;
the preparedness
for change, for birth, for death.
Purple,k too, and white--
that pure
absence of color
anticipating
pastel--
the return of green.
We live in the cycle of color;
we live in the cycle of time
of pause
of waiting
anticipating
the whirl
of the
kaleidoscope
wheel.
